Day 19 - Newberg, OR (Day 4)

There was a light rain overnight and the morning was overcast. The sun broke through to brighten the day around 9am.

About the Day
Carol and Barbara went to William's preschool and did some shopping. The children kept them busy the rest of the day.

Kenny and Dick ran some quick errands for a home remodeling project and a rental property issue ... and then spent the rest of the day buying a tractor.

About the Tractor
First, we drove to Tangent, OR for a test drive and to review the purchase agreement. The drive normally takes 1.5 hours (one-way). It took an extra 45 minutes because Dick made a GPS entry error. Oops.
Kenny takes a spin
It's so easy anyone can operate it.
A rig like this is needed to operate a farm.

Next, we drove to McMinnville to get a bid from another dealer for the same equipment.

This is a big purchase for Kenny and Barbara. They've done their homework and now look forward to getting a new tractor next week.

End of the Day
We ended the day with a delightful dinner of BLT sandwiches and corn on the cob.

Kenny and Dick did some research on how to extend the farm's WiFi signal about 250' (to the barn).

This was a different, but very interesting day.
