Day 29 - Portland, OR (Day 7)

Another beautiful day.

We began with a chore, had breakfast out, Dick "watched" the Ohio State football game, and the family had dinner together at Thanh Thao Restaurant.

The Chore
Tim & Dick moved a pile of wood chips from in front of a neighbor's home to the backyard. It took about 20 wheelbarrow loads.

The Boys Breakfast
Dick introduced Tim to Hale's Restaurant in Milwaukee. They serve great breakfasts.

The Girls Brunch
Elizabeth and Carol left early with the possibility of having brunch, but got sidetracked by shopping at the Portland Market (an outdoor shopping experience for arts and crafts open from March to Christmas). Brunch became lunch at Thai E-San Cuisine.

The Game
Well, it wasn't The Game, but it was a game. Ohio State 38 - Hawaii 0. The internet and ESPN's Gamecast allowed access to updates. Delayed play text and an animated ball are a far cry from really watching.

Family Dinner
It has become a "tradition" for the entire Portland family to gather for dinner at Thanh Thao before we leave for home. Orange Chicken is our favorite.
William and Barbara check-out the menu
Attention wanders until the food arrives.
(Kenny checks on the Ducks vs. Spartans game)
Barbara & Elizabeth have a sisterly chat.
Lucy & Anna love a camera.
This is a special time.

Tomorrow
Elizabeth & Tim preach tomorrow and it's clear we better be there.
