Day 22 - Newberg, OR (Day 7)

The cool evenings continue. The temperature was in the mid-40s last night and the furnace switched on and off all night.

Today was mostly about visiting. We say mostly, because Kenny & Dick did some "sports" stuff in the late afternoon.

Morning Visit
Eric and Dick went to breakfast at Gonzales' Taqueria and had a great time catching up on happenings.

We took a tour of the farm to visit the calves and goats.
This little guy is 2 months old.

Afternoon Visit
Eric headed home to Salem at noon and the rest of the clan went to a Bagley Family Reunion in the mountains at West Linn (a 45 minute drive).

The country setting and the farm home grounds were right off the cover of a magazine ... beautifully maintained and picturesque. There was food for an army and it seemed like one showed up. The guests just kept coming!
The tables were full
Food was plentiful
Dona Claire, a friend, Barbara, Aunt Laverne,

The goats remind us we're on a farm

Sports Stuff
Kenny got a used, big-screen TV this morning with hopes of watching the Oregon Ducks game this afternoon. We wrestled with the set-up for displaying from a PC screen and got it working by the 4th quarter. The picture was shaky, but the game wasn't. Oregon beat Eastern Washington 61-42. It was an exciting display of firepower by both teams. They combined for over 1,250 yards of offense. Obviously, their defenses were offensive too.
